Is Spring or Summer a Harder Time to Buy?

Spring is exciting. New growth and life after a long, cold winter.

Yards look better because they are green and flowers are growing.
Photos look better. No more snow!
Inventory usually increases. Seller's have worked all winter at getting their home ready.
And buyers come out in full force and come out of hibernation.
Which leads to the question:
"Are we making this harder by shopping now?"
Maybe.
But not necessarily.
Spring and summer often bring:
More listings
More buyer competition
More multiple offers
Faster decision timelines
But they also bring:
Better selection
More move-in-ready homes
Easier school-transition timing
Longer daylight for showings
Every season has trade-offs.
The key isn’t finding the “best” season.
It’s understanding the season you’re buying in…and figuring out if it works for you.
And having a strategy that fits it.
