Building More Than Just Homes: A Weekend of Gratitude and Connection

This summer, my husband and I had the absolute joy of hosting more than 150 people at our home for our very first Client Appreciation Event. What started as a hopeful idea back in March turned into a sun-soaked afternoon filled with laughter, inflatables, ice cream, and some of the most wonderful people we’ve had the honor to work with. It was a celebration of summer, community, and the relationships that make this business so rewarding. And yes—this will absolutely become a new tradition for us.

I’ll be honest: when we first began planning, I had a little voice of doubt wondering if anyone would actually come. Would people take time out of their weekend to join us for a backyard party? But as the RSVPs rolled in, my heart filled with gratitude. The sheer number of responses was humbling, and it reminded me just how meaningful these connections really are.
Helping someone buy or sell a home is about so much more than contracts and keys. It’s about trust. It’s about stepping into one of the most emotional, vulnerable seasons in someone’s life and being invited to walk alongside them. I’ve seen the full spectrum—joy, stress, celebration, even some disagreements—and through it all, I’ve never taken the privilege for granted.

I often say that people are fun, sometimes messy, and always worth it. This weekend reminded me of that in the best way. Whether it’s navigating negotiations or handing over keys on closing day, what matters most is the relationship. The trust. The shared journey.
To everyone who came out, thank you. Your presence meant more than you know. Here’s to many more summers filled with laughter, connection, and continued appreciation—for the work we get to do, and for the people we get to do it with.
